About the Recognition Insights Founder: Ben Pratt

I managed rewards and recognition for a large financial services firm for over a decade. During this time, I became obsessed with my work, passionately learning everything I could about the industry, best practices, and the significant impact rewards and recognition have on companies. Through my research, as well as witnessing the actual outcomes achieved at my firm, it was clear that when done correctly, these programs are extremely effective.

I also learned that many companies lack a viable strategy for their rewards and recognition practices. This is not necessarily because they dismiss celebrating the accomplishments of their employees. Rather, they are either unaware of how to develop and run impactful programs, or they do not have the bandwidth to do so. “Recognition is not my day job”, said basically everyone I interacted with. In my role, I was fortunate to be able to focus on managing rewards and recognition efforts, which I know is rare.

With this in mind, I decided to start Recognition Insights so I can help busy owners, leaders and HR associates develop and implement a successful recognition strategy, enabling their employees and company to thrive. A culture of recognition creates happier employees, which leads to more satisfied customers, and ultimately results in positive business outcomes.

While receiving an MBA from Babson College and earning an undergraduate degree in Economics at Colby College, I developed a strong understanding of business finance and behavioral economics. I have worked for a diverse group of small to large companies over my career, so I can appreciate how cultures can vary from a start up to a Fortune 500. Based on my work experience and years of research on rewards and recognition, I know how to best leverage these practices to drive positive results. I would be honored to have the opportunity to help your business succeed.

Thanks for reading my story.

Best,
Ben
